Nowadays almost everyone has their own blog. Most of them use the blogs as their personal diaries. Some are professional bloggers. But, every blogger would love to attract traffic to their blogs. So, what techniques do you use to drive traffic to your blogs?

It really depends on your niche, but social media is the way to go. For example, if you have a beauty blog, post images on Pinterest and traffic will start flowing in. Use a bot to gain pinterest followers.

Hey, I was looking for a thread like this.

Basically what is working for me right now is creating an (attractive) image about a subject. Them I'll add my website and a small description of a post/my own website and tell people that if they want to know more about said subject, to go to my website.

It's a little spammy when I do it to facebook groups. But I always try to do it in groups with lots of people and asking Admins/check the rules before posting the image. I always try to be polite and unique in every post. Sometimes people get offended anyway... Them I'll say that I'm sorry and move on. :D

I agree, but its creative by not using facebook, its like starting from scratch and it actually proves in the end where you learn more.

For me, any social media like FB and Twitter is not that good. First, if you dont have many friends on Facebook, it's kinda hard for advertising or spread for others (Except you would be that dumb. No offense ). Second, now people don't like advertisement like on Youtube. Example : (When you comment on a video that is popular), people will say like: Stop advertising! or We will not go check you channel! or (More mean...) STFU. If your blog is GOOD or AMAZING, people will start to spread your blog because they think that your blog is amazing. So what i think is you should just post something different and interesting then it will become quite popular. Good luck!

Participate in targeted forums. This is one of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your site. Make useful posts in the forums that are related to your niche, always putting the link of your site in your signature.
Use video to drive traffic to your site. You can create a video about the product or service you offer on your site and post on YouTube. Add your link in the video description, and this will ensure that people who see your video will also visit your website.

Pinterest mainly but also Twitter and Facebook. >200k relevant followers on Pinterest, only a couple of hundred on the other two - just cannot get decent followers on the other two.

When using the HITLEAP, do not forget to use Sandboxie or some other type of protection

Social media is so easy for me to get traffic, once you have established your network, you just share some information and get results immediately.

I share it through online social networks like twitter and facebook. You can get a lot of genuine traffic in there.
