I have a blog now and I am earning from adhexa. I tried google adsense but my account was not approved. Nevertheless, I am planning to have my own website. Any suggestion on how to make real money from it?

There are a few idea's, although people normally prefer Google adsense but the other's will also shine if placed right. There is Rakuten Linkshare and Amazon Associates to start with. For example you post an article about installing a fan on computer's. You use Cooler Master Seidon and you can post an Amazon link to that product and some reader's will use what you use to simplify the process.

You can also post some "Suggestions" under your blog that suggest people some products. Good luck!

I think you should keep building up content on your website and stick with the adhox advertisement network you are with until you have a lot of content and your blog is very popular..you can also get a domain name which apparently makes the approval of adsense quite easier.
