can anyone suggest a free antivirus that can remove malware and trojan on windows 7? I downloaded esset but seems like it was also infected by the virus

I have not looked in detail since long, but I think Avast and AVG have free anti virus. You can check them out, as well as Quickheal.

Well you have Bitdefender free which is light and efficient, but you also have Windows defender who interferes with anti-virus. You can also try an online scan of your computer, one of the best sites to do it is Trendmicro:

it will scan and remove most virus from your computer.
That was one of the reasons I stopped using windows, I am into linux now and I am quite happy about it, there's no virus or malware to annoy me anymore

I am using 360 Total Security, which is a free antivirus program. I have also used panda cloud free version in the past. Both are good programs

I am also using 360 Total Security free version. I have been using this program since two years and I have not encountered any problems.

thanks for suggestion guys. Anyway I was able to get malwarebytes for free. And already removed those viruses from my laptop. I was suspecting dealply live before installing antivirus, and I was right, it detected and deleted by malwarebytes.

Thats good to hear, I have been using it for years and never had a problem, I try to remember to do this weekly, and not everytime Im suspect of something.

I use Windows Defender that comes with Windows. I used Avast for many years, but they got too pushy about upgrading and I got tired of it.

I get free antivirus with my internet connection. I get my internet through the local cable company and as a perk they offer free mcafee which is a good service. There are probably other ones but that is the one I know

Do not use Avira, that annoying Anti_virus will slow down your computer because it consumes a lot of ram and accuses games as virus.

I trust them for the work they do and also love their configurations for example when it comes to excluding files and folders you don't want to loose for example of you happen to use cracked software.

Free Avast edition is the same I use. This Antivirus has all it requires to have protection and a secure computer. Real time scanning and update whenever they are available.
