Well why not all? I think what really matters is the content of a website but it would be a waste if you don't have traffics driving in your website, meaning no readers, no profit. Social media has been a trend for driving traffic into a website especially facebook. Link building such us doing backlinks can help in the long run as well. So yea, doing it all might be the best method to do.

I agree that more than one method is optimum. I think you have to be careful with link building though. Backlinks need to make sense and be from reputable sites in order to be worthwhile. I don't do much social media promotion currently, but it's something I need to spend more time doing.

All of the above (although I do not consider content creation part of SEO; it is just a necessary element of your business). You can't rely on any one method. One method may work better now, but you never want to be susceptible to the ups and downs of a single method.

After the last change on Google's Algorithm I've been doing mostly White Hat SEO. Black Hat Methods are getting harder each day and the quality of backlinks and PR have to be way better now than few months ago.

Pretty much. I'd say that 80% of my revenue comes from google traffic and 20% from Social media. Here in Brazil google owns 90% of the whole segment. I did some Bing ranking, but the traffic from Bing is so low that it doesn't worth the time.

Having the organic traffic is the best traffic to have in your website. It could be from social media networks. That's great to hear. But just don't spam the links or some other stuff so you won't be stopped by social medias.

if you have high quality content, you already have at least 70% chance of ranking nicely. But try to learn some SEO techniques, keyword research and if you are a beginner, stick with WHITE HAT SEO only (google it). I posted a free 13-hour SEO course and I think it would help you. See here:

I focus most of my effort in creating relevant and good content because I prefer visitors to find my site the natural way. It would not hurt if I seek the help of backlinks and the social media. Everything goes hand in hand for me. There is no one single formula or tool or technique I beleive if we can utilize a few of them the better we get on the page one of Google
