What's your favorite website that no longer exist?

Postby Vens » 30 May 2015, 12:59

Mine was gotfrag. It used to be one of the go-to sites when it comes to competitive gaming but it was sold out and the new company didn't know how to handle it properly and it died. What's yours?

For me, its 9XXSSF's site is my favourite for modded driver's and some special tools to aid integrated GPU in gaming or light workload. Unfortunately I think its down because donate's can't save them.

I used to love orkut site. The first ever social networking site that everyone used. It was completely different and I still miss those testimonials that I had. We used to wait to see what our friends think of us by reading those testimonials. It was like a big achievement to receive frequent testimonials. It just takes me back to my school and college days. Missing you orkut :-( you will be remembered always

I miss ePinions from eBay that rewards users with a cut when other people buy the product you reviewed. Its kind of a good long-term earning solution and also fun in the process of helping other people finding good products. But now it goes down but the good news is they paid all of the money we earned + extra 5$ from yearly reward before it shuts down.

There used to be a site called Friendster which was a competitor of Facebook. Well, it now has closed shop. Another pretender to the social media was Yehey, a local site (in the Philippines) that also closed shop.

I also used to belong to Diskussable as Fish above. I liked it very much because it was so friendly and the owner was a decent guy. It only lasted 8 months because the major advertiser pulled out and he could no longer afford to pay us. It was a similar set up to ForumCoin but at the time I didn't know you were all here! Oh well I got here in the end :D

I'm editing this post because I've just remembered Traffic Micro which disappeared just before I came here. It was a site which paid $1 for doing simple search and copy and paste tasks. These would be sent throughout the day. If you used your phone you could earn $1.50 a day .. it was brilliant. One day they sent us an email to say that pay rates were being reduced but there would be no disruption, then it disappeared never to return! I do miss that as it was such a good earner. I heard that it was hit by a DDOS attack but I'm not sure what that means, it's some kind of cyber attack. I hope it comes back one day. Apparently it was the sister site of Interwrk.
