Deep Web

Postby janube12 » 31 May 2015, 12:47

I don't know if it's prohibited here but I'm just here for you all to be aware of what's the most trending on some of my facebook groups. it was the Deep Web and because of curiosity i've tried to browse and search about it for more and finally found some sites that really made me scared so much!

Deep Web - is the portion of content on the World Wide Web that is not indexed by standard search engines. Computer scientist Mike Bergman is credited with coining the term in 2000.

Many people says that Deep Web has all illegal doings and there's a chance that FBI will catch you if you didn't mask your I.P Address.

I really don't know if it's true but I saw some site that has the very scary contents. i don't really expect that internet has it.. i didn't know that there's a very dark side >.<

Please take care everybody and don't be curious like me.

The deep web doesn't refer to the Tor network. It refers to every piece of information not found via Google, Yahoo, etc.

The Tor Network, on the other hand, is hidden without the tor browser. I used to go on here and sell certain things, but I stopped a long time ago because it was playing on my mind. There truly is digusting content on that network :( :?

And yes, if caught you will be sentenced to life in prison most likely.

I'm not going to pretend to know much about this. I don't want to know. I can't see any good coming of sneaking around in dark places with shady people. The regular web can be dangerous enough.

Increasingly deep web will be popular as google search result will not be very relevant or useful and the webmaster/internet user will prefer to use other sources like forums and ptc websites to find new opportunities . The search results are highly manipulated and customized not to provide useful information. I was searching for information for several months using Google, got a lot of irrelevant and outdated junk, the information is found on this and other forums, ptc websites more easily

I used to use thor and visit some deep web websites (onion), but mostly things there are ugly and not worth my time.

I don't know if it changed, but I can't believe that good content will be hiddenthere, it would be rare. More like bad things will be hidden there :/

Onion may refer to onion routing, which is the way of the anonymity on the tor network, or the Top Level Domain (Like .com, or co.nz or .co.uk etc) for the Tor network. You connect through (Random letters and numbers).onion

Tor browser itself is not illegal. What people view on it can be.

Dangerous, Tor itself is dangerous because it has no security protocols, you`ll end up hacked if you don't know what you're doing.
