If your website uses Wordpress, Yoast is one of the features. It checks the grammar, readability and SEO potential of your writing. Just because your grammar is correct it doesn't mean you will pass Yoast. The Algorithm of Yoast indicates if your article can get viral or not. If your article is easy to read, then you will get a Green. If your article have complicated readability it means it will be hard to get your writing viral. Yes you have more chances to get viral if your English is simple! No need to try being Shakespearean.

This is the advice Yoast gave me on my article:

I do have an article that got a green. Though it is green, it is not 100 percent Green but I guess I should be happy because a green is a green.



Correct grammar can increase your chances to get a green but it is not enough. I have an article that gets a perfect score in grammarly but cant get a green with Yoast. Yoast loves sentences in Active Voice. Many people talks and writes in Passive voice. It is something I am trying to learn but its hard.

I only discovered Yoast because the Website I work for have a Yoast Plug in. I tried copy pasting articles from big news sites, LOL they only get an orange. So an orange article can let you pass in Fox News, CNN, Reuters.

Using yoast in a given website is very nice, cos it helps to check the readability level of a content, can also be used as a plagiarism tool to ascertain the credibility of one's article strength to match Seo ranking.thanks for sharing this wonderful post.

Yoast is a premium feature of Wordpress. Something I notice is that it doesn't allow me to make the article longer than 300 words. It is frustrating for me because sometimes you need to write longer than 300 words to point across what you want to express.

Yoast have a hatred of passive voice. Most normal people talks in Passive voice. So to pass Yoast you cannot write like the way you talk or else you will get a red or orange.

LOL this thread got a RED from Yoast but I don't care. I endured 3 hours of Yoast for a 300 word article. I feel more satisfied with the articles I wrote here despite of grammar errors and all.

I think it is paid but I never paid for it because I just work for that website. The owner is the one who paid for it. It is an online magazine and I am one of the 5 writers they hired. So that gives me access to Yoast. Yoast don't give corrections. They just subtly tell you your mistakes.

i made a search online and it seems that premium version is paid and it isn't cheap at all, it costs 89€ but there is a free version to download but I think it won't be much help.

No it is not. It is plugin which can be added or not to Wordpress. It is very popular and almost everybody use it but it is not part of Wordpress.
There is also free and premium version of Yoast.

Even Yoast is great there are some good plugins to. I like All in One SEO. Several webmasters from local forum recommend it.
WP Meta SEO is recomended for newbies.

I use grammarly together with Yoast. Speaking of Yoast, I finally figured out how to have a Green readability and how to receive an orange SEO ability. I am now learning the ways of Yoast.

Can you compare number of visits on two posts, green and not green. Did yo get much more views on green one?

Green gets more views, orange is passable while red have the smallest chance to get viral. I am happy to get an orange.

Does Yoast sugggest some keywords or just count number of repeat it? If suggest, it would great since those keyword tools are often expensive and people search good keywords all time.

They don't, they want you to learn on Your own. I do wish to learn how to get green with keywords. I already get how to get green with reading ease and grammar.

Did you try yoast on non english sites? Does it work good as on english language sites.
