I'm also looking for a new laptop and I've been doing tons of research. Since it's Black Friday/Cyber Monday in the US, there are tons of great deals for laptop computers.

It's hard to recommend a good laptop if we do not know your needs. There are different computers for people with different needs. Are you using it for games? Streaming? Video editing? Casual web surfing or work? If you tell us that information, perhaps it'll be easier for other members to make a recommendation.

First we need to know for what purpose you need it.

Some general advice from me would be SSD 256GB drive with 6GB of RAM. Freedos and buy refurbished windows licence. 6GB of RAM is enough for beginer and SSD drive is much faster than HDD. Basic graphic card is enough if you don't have ideas of playing to much games.

If you want something more advanced, than choose SSD M.2 and 8GB+ RAM.

What is your budget? If you are into gaming. I'd recommend going with Asus. Avoid buying HP and Mi laptops in India. They are worst with heating. If you have budget around say 70K then get a gaming laptop, for next 5 to 8 years it can work out well for you.

I can't suggest brands but find a laptop that has long battery life so they can be useful during blackouts. 10 hour should be the battery minimum.

Find a strong laptop with good features, high RAM capacity, strong battery life, large ROM. Any labtop model will be okay.

UPDATE
Thanks of all these feedbacks, but many were asking for purpose. I am mostly into MMO and social media. But also want security and long working laptop.
Gaming only if it earn me.
Budget is something like 35k INR.
If there is more to say, then go ahead, thanks.

For 35k I guess what you can buy is Dell 3000 series of laptops. They are good with the RAM and the processor and also on security side. Lenovo are expensive lot for decent laptop. I extended my budget this time and made sure that I get 16GB RAM for both my office laptop and home laptop which I use for gaming.

I would recommend MacBook Air / Pro from Apple as its battery is fantastic, my husband uses Mac Air for 6 years and its battery is still quite good.

Based on the price requirement of OP. I don't think Air would be a good fit. Like it is 60K and higher for the Macbook Air. So I don't think he would want that.

Macbook Air isn't as expensive as Pro and based on my own experience it is a very good one. I have had other laptops brands but no one last for so many years with such a good batery.

Price of Macbook Air in Asia is a bit high. So that would be higher for the OP. It has good features, battery and performance but asian price is expensive.

It is also a little bit more expensive than other brands here but its longevity worth the extra it costs.

That is a good point but the amount of money Macbook takes say 1500 for Macbook Pro and 800 USD for macbook AIR here you get lot better devices with lenovo and Dell for that price with longetivity too.

If I were to buy a laptop, I would base it on the RAM. It really depends on the work you will be using it for though.

I have read through this topic and it is kind of great to see ideas on how one can evolve from the least machine to the best in terms of maximizing the earning potential based on the features that laptops have. What has to be considered is the earning or savings that each person has.If anyone has this information it would be great if it can be shared.

Same with me. I avoid buying the device with 4GB or 8GB RAM these days. Minimum 12 to 16 is required especially if you play video games.

4GB ram is not advisable for a PC the processor won't load faster . 16 GB is very much OK and prefferedn
