Domain Reseller

Postby Mika » 28 May 2021, 08:56

Domain reseller is a domain business where you buy domains in bulk and resell them to individual customers. You can get a domain reseller program through a domain registrar. Has anyone tried the domain reseller program?

I don't think I've heard of something like this before. And if you'll be able to buy those domains at a cheap then I think it is a very very good idea

Domain reselling is something like hosting reseller. You pay a certain amount to the domain registrar and every time someone buys a domain through you, you will earn a commission.

I have wanted to go into this before but I don't know why I don't have the skill of thinking about domains that can sell.

Is it profitable? Because domain names usually cost 10 USD and there is an ICANN fee. How do we get profit here?

That's where the profit comes from if you own a domain name that is desirable. I had a domain name I registered for $10 (like you said) and another party contacted me asking to buy it and offered me $1,500 USD for it. The reason it was worth so much is because it was a four letter .com name and they are pretty much all sold now.

Wow seems interesting but I hope this will come under domain flipping and not reselling. Correct me if I am wrong.

When you are a domain reseller, you pay lesser than the market price. You earn a commission for each domain you sell.

I once owned a two letter dot com soiledmind, said there were no buyers, and I let it expire. Selling a domain name can be hard especially if you have to keep it renewing every year in a hope to sell it for a high price.

Just because you are interested does not mean you will make a lot of profits. You also need marketing and SEO skills to sell your domains and stay in the business.

Do you really have to post here when you do not have any inputs? You can either post a question or share your ideas, your reply is just for cents.
