ToTW Alternatives to Pixabay

Postby Yugocean » 03 Mar 2022, 06:35

Pixabay is a licensed free photos providing platform, the photos are used without anyone's permission so that the bloggers etc does not have the problem of copyright infringement. But Pixabay is not the only one, apart from this there are many other websites from which free photos can be taken for personal or commercial use.

Some of the alternatives are-
Freeimages.com
FreeDigitalPhotos.net
Freepik
Photogen
PikWizard
Pexels
PostImage.org
StockSnap
Unsplash
Openverse
Gratisography
Burst
Reshot
500px

These are just few, there are so many.
Which one is your favorite?

I use the unsplash. I find it a good service. I think they have some of the quality HD photos and it is a good in general to be honest.

In readcash it is unsplash which is automatically available to use free images, but I myself use other platforms to find if I don't like if few searches (not in readcash.

Yes the thing is unsplash has widget system which makes adding the images lot easier. I like readcash because it earns you slow and steady. Compared to noise.cash it can go too high or too low. Which I don't mind just flexing my muscle as long as I can write.

I always go for pixabay. Somehow, it has become a habit for me. Now, I have to explore the other sites also. Thank you for mentioning so many sites.

I check 2 things -
1) Image matches the content.
2) Image is of HQ or more.
Rest we don't have to worry about copyright, this is what matters.

I also check the CC status. Having the CC A and Public domain is safe image to use.

Just embed a Youtube video, there wont be any copyright drama since uploaders like views.

That is a nice list. I had tried Pexels and Unsplash but I have now mailed this complete list to one of my mail Ids.
I found some images on Unsplash that were really nice.

I still like Pixabay and keep all my images from them in one folder so if there is any problem I know right where to look.

Not just for photos, you can even use pixabay for stock videos. I use pixabay all the time., Pexels is also good. When I do not find the right images and videos on pixabay, I go to pexels.

Pixabay's bland boring Photos are useless now. Why use Pixabay if you can realistic use ai photos for free with no watermarks. Since you typed the prompt and it's your idea, You have ownership of that image.

They are still imperfect but with the right prompts you can make pictures usable for your article or vlog.

Most of the website you shared has watermarks on their photos.

Those are great images @Netherrealmer, which service did you use to create them?

Cutoutpro and the photos are free without watermark as long as you share them on twitter. I delete the tweet after I download the files.
