I have mostly worked on the shopify store as a designer while working on fiverr gig. I want to extend that and make sure to get the most out of this experience. I want to own the shop someday.

I don't have any experience with the shopify site. But, since they got a 'partner' program and an 'affiliate' program, I may join that to see whether I can earn something out of it.

Yes you have to send a lot of traffic before you can make sales out of that. but if you know what you are doing and working out on the shopify it would be a good income source.

A lot of shopify store requires you to do a lot of promotion. people are spending thousands on tiktok, insta to promote the products over there with images.

Shopify itself isn't helping, then how it is better when big brands like Amazon, Flipkart etc are there?

Shopify is like website hosting option. flipkart, amazon are like your warehouse. both different things. but both give you some control over your business and give traffic etc.

flipkart, amazon asks for GST number, so there was problem for small business, I am not sure if Shopify is same.

Shopify does not require GST but your courier company requires GST before they can do the sending for you. GST is necessary for shipping real goods.
