This is happening for some time and we may see the jobs for tele-callers almost wiped out in the future or will be limited to a few persons as compared to a whole team.
The reason is most companies are hiring Chatbots with which they answer maximum users and only a small number of users are shifted to manual customer support so to put less burden on the customer support or asked to request a call back (Even a small team can manage this) which is actually more expensive so companies are doing this to manage their expenses.
