Chat Bots are Replacing the Traditional Customer Support

This is happening for some time and we may see the jobs for tele-callers almost wiped out in the future or will be limited to a few persons as compared to a whole team.

The reason is most companies are hiring Chatbots with which they answer maximum users and only a small number of users are shifted to manual customer support so to put less burden on the customer support or asked to request a call back (Even a small team can manage this) which is actually more expensive so companies are doing this to manage their expenses.

I am a "chatbot" supervisor from Amazon, You will be talking to chatbots first then eventually if the chatbots fail, you will finally get a human.

Yes but some problems require real human. AI often just gets you in the loop of code. so it's better to work around for timepass not always in context of solution.

I experienced it on Amazon, Swiggy, Zomato and every other platform that I use for shopping and many times some of the apps don't even provide their customer support contact and just ask us to email and they will get back to us which is annoying but companies are saving money this way but taking advantage of the technology like chat bots

Technogy is helping them save time and money, this is development, and development replace human with machine or even software. Human just have to take job in development.

If you want to get rid of Chatbots, go Karen on the Chatbot and eventually you will get a human. Be nice to the human though. Chatbots always give you links or copypasted script.

Chat bots are not helpful unless they are designed in a way to have human intervention too as I have experienced this on Flipkart app and they are the worst

I don't blame them because most of the companies are trying to reduce cost and they love look to reduce man power in order to reduce cost and increase revenue even if that comes at the cost of quality.

Yes especially banks. they need to do that too. because bank jobs are useless as it is with everything going online. so chatbots or bots of all types are needed in banks.

Yes bank employees are just taking bigger pay and not doing work and most people have switched to online and now there are machines to deposit cash and even to Print pass book so they should reduce the unneccesary man power.

Yes unless we are talking about useless boring banks like SBI or IDBI where the payment is given to employees for the sake of it. we can see that bots are much better and online services can be used instead as well. we just need more technical people and customer support that helps in times when AI or programs fail.

Most of the apps have chatbots now but I am impressed with Amazon because their chatbot is better and more helpful and there will always be an option or if the bot cannot solve our issue they will transfer that to manual chat or to a call from support

it is already being used now and I believe it has come to stay. Chat box isn't a bad idea since it can help the users of a place or a site swiftly. So there's nothing wrong with it.

This is business, Amazon use proper upgraded bots to help it's customer find products and buy, if Amazon won't do it, people will just move to its competitor.

Yes exactly and this is why Amazon is a world leader in E-commerce and they always set bench mark for others to follow, I have even realized that flipmart has now improved a little too but still they are far from Amazon

If the chatbots are fast with responding and giving the right information I think it is doing way better than using humans. Some customer care can be very slow and rude.

Amazon is using these in a good way in which Bot will redirect us to FAQs "s and other smaller things and in case our issue is not solved then it will transfer to a person
