last news say it is almost 20% accounts fake. I guess it is done by content farms and click bait news. Also impact on politics elections is high on Twitter so it make Twitter target.

The latest news I have seen is that the offer is still in negotiations. The item in contention is the questionable volume of fake accounts. Musk is demanding a more accurate accounting for those fake accounts in a potential reduction in his offer, but he is not just walking away.

I really don't understand the big scream about him owning the site. The difference is between the obvious control of the far left and their stated and published stand is that they DO NOT BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH and Musk INSISTING on FREE SPEECH as well as a mandate to fully identify and verify the real identity of every account holder to remove those fake accounts and to keep them off the site. After all, everyone is already screaming about fake news every place you look.

The difference is that no one will be able to hide behind a fake identity to spew out fake content. The far left is controlling the media at every turn. This will change that fat lot of lies so people will begin to be able to hear both sides of every argument and learn the truth. If it comes out to be true that the Twitter accounts are 20% fake, then the business isn't worth as much as Elon offered and I think they should renegotiate at that point. If they're lying about their actual member base, then what else are they dishonest about? That's pretty key when purchasing a business and transparency is crucial. Consider how many employees are quitting out of fear, something big is about to go down and I'm really excited by it all.

I think there will be still a way to make fake accounts. People sell personal data for 10$ bonus on crypto exchange service or airdrops. This is called KYC process. With data people sell, they can make fake accounts and when you verify data, those are real. ID cards, phone numbers, emails, bank statements, car insurance statements - those are data people give to KYC.

Any social media platform is going to have fake accounts, I get spam followers on Snapchat almost every single month. As long as they have access to a email account, they can easily make a fake account. I do wonder if Elon Musk is going to eventually win and own Twitter. Even if he doesn't, there's always other social media platforms that stand for what Elon Musk is wanting to do with Twitter.

Fake accounts should be removed or users should be given a way to verify so they can be considered as not fake, it's time consuming but will make website even better
