You get the custom avatar in wordpress when you add the profile image. It appears in all the possible comment places if you can use the same mail it would show that avatar profile.

I tried it today. It doesn't take them long to start hammering you to upgrade, but it does help if you have basic skills in figuring out what is causing the comments they make and tweak the text yourself.

Adding custom gravatar is a big process. You can simply use Wordpress profile picture plugin to make it simple.

You can also use Gravator across different websites where they give you the option to use Gravator for your profile image. If you use a lot of websites, you will be relieved from adding your profile pictures.

When you have used them for as many sites as I have, it becomes hard to remember all your logon details for the different Gravatars.

Why use multiple Gravatar, why not use the same Gravatar across multiple sites? Why not use the same email ID to sign up with multiple sites?
