FCC wants to close tiktok

Postby Netherrealmer » 06 Jul 2022, 22:47

FCC is the US government department that caused Net Neutrality be killed off. It is also responsible for some of the demonetization problems in YouTube. Now this nuisance of a government department is targeting tiktok. Accusing it of being a surveillance and security risk. FCC wants to shutdown tiktok. Maybe they are in cahoots with Susan of YouTube and she is threatened most zoomers prefers it now.

For all of these social sites, IF you have no proof that they are a danger to the community, I am wondering how much digging had to de done to come up with a reason to shut down Tik Tok. If I recall I think Trump wanted to shut down Tik Tok. Can't remember his reason.

In India it is already closed, and nobody (expect opposition) objected the Move.
In India TicTok and 58 other Chinese Apps were closed.

Trump didnt succeed, lets see if FCC will because they failed with killing net neutrality after people had an angry wrath against them.

I hope they fail. I don't see any reason for shutting down Tik Tok, when some of the mass shooters were having discussions on Discord. Whatever rationale or reasoning they use to close Tik Tok can surely be applied to all of the other social media platforms. Why not shut them all down? Fair is fair.

That move happened because the personal data was being stored in the chinese servers and massive data collection was done in india by the chinese companies and apps. at the same time they created media houses like UCNews that directly impacted govt and military policies.

Nope, Bytedance only had a partnership deal with Walmart and Oracle, they were buying 20% stake (12.5% and 7.5% respectively), but don't know the outcome.

Well, if this happens then people should just get on the alternative and life continues. For me now I don't waste time on things that is no longer working. Just move to the next one

Can you earn from it? If yes then better, if not, then waste.

compare to Youtube, Tiktok is more easier to earn with. You just need to follow trends in the beginning.

They said you can earn from it but I have not figured out how. The only thing I've noticed are people putting Tik Tok videos on other videos sites like YouTube or Hideout TV. Maybe they earn that way. Anyway! Here's a link.

Game streamer Tactical grandma is successful in Twitch and she makes compilations of her videos in Tiktok and Youtube. Her tiktok videos gets more views as in millions of views. In Youtube, she is lucky to get 10 thousand.

What if we compare to facebook reel?
Not every one can have TikTok, so if it is banned, why don't go for alternative?
