Favorite forum software?

Postby AJH » 18 Oct 2022, 14:59

What is your favorite forum software?

I have used many over the years. I really like phpBB and SMF. I am using SMF for my new forum. If I go the paid route, I would say XenForo!

What about you?

I have been thinking of installing a Forum recently and based on my experience with Forum Coin I am going to start with phpBB and keep it simple.

Xenforo and the IPB is good enough. Avoid shopping any other software. Testing is not worth it for decade no other free software has been good. Phpbb is trash and horrible ugly. SMF is hardly updating for anything better.

Xenforo and IPB is good enough if you are serious with the websites.

XenForo is def good! it is the best-priced paid forum software by a long shot! I think IPB is good too. It's just overpriced, in my opinion.

But even ForumCoin uses phpBB. I use SMF. For free software, I would say they are good. I do wish they were updated more frequently! :D

This is an interesting comment from someone who has over 27,000 posts on this phpBB Forum.

I have more than 10k on Simple machines forum too. And more than 100K on VB forum, like you I have spent some life on internet.
Nice try on trying to snarkly comment on me. How cute for your age to chase people younger than you for an argument.
Suits you. Didn't find any lead for the satoshi referral or what?

I have no confidence after all the years I have been on 'Forum Coin, that anything I post will produce significant leads or referrals. I post here for the pennies (just like most do), but I also try to share my experiences in the hope it may help someone else to do better in some way. I believe in what I post and don't hesitate to share it without chasing anyone and age has nothing to do with anything.

When I reply to you in same tone, My post gets deleted so I hope that you stop replying to me. If you continue to do that and if I reply back in same sarcastic and insulting tone, I am not responsible. Mods and owner can read and take note. I have no interest in replying to him but he keeps chasing me in threads. So yeah you deal with this instead of deleting my replies.

Sincerely, I have only recently started posting in online forums. When I joined the Referral Index Forum, I began to like it. When they stopped paying for now, I was disappointed. I do not think highly of using beermoneyforum. I finally discovered forumcoin and am currently having fun here.

ForumCoin is using a forum software called phpBB. It's what software this website is built with.

There are different forum software, such as phpBB, SMF, MyBB, XenForo, IPB, PunBB, Flarum, etc...

Hope that helps! :D

Definitely XenForo, it has a modern look and feel, it's responsive and I like the way they implemented the alert system.

Since I love Forum coin I could say I love the Phpbb. ForumCoin is one of the best sites out here. I'll have to learn more on the software.

Surely that would be Xenforo for me, although I have been fan of IPS forever before.

Since I started to work here and am more active than the others, I must say that forumcoin is my favorite. To make it clear, this is not a sugar-coated statement from me.

When I build a forum I used SMF. Some of the forums I visit regularly use Xenforo. I think these two are good forum software.
