HP Sprout

Postby Allius » 17 Jun 2015, 13:20

What are your thoughts and opinion about this PC from HP? It is in some ways an innovative computer that you can do some interesting things.
This will be the computer of the future or is it a project that will eventually be forgotten?

I dont like it. In my opinion it´s not very good for work, nor for playing games, however it´s well designed, that´s true.

It really is not a computer for everyone. But the features are spectacular. However its features have yet to improve ... but do scan 3D objects is phenomenal! :)

Is it only render or HP is really working on that? If yes, would you mind to share a link to article with me? Btw. I am starting feeling the "future tech from my childhood" is coming true.

A mouse and keyboard can be installed but have the option to use keyboard by touch ... The 3d scan is still evolving as it only makes scan the visible part, you are still not able to scan the whole object ... I think that HP will improve it!

Ofc they will, it´s just a prototype. It´s the same as with 3D printer. It was at start just an idea and now its normally used in companies.

I think it's an excellent idea to use a 3D printer with Sprout. In terms of design our capabilities will be almost limitless ... and all this without leaving home lol

I agree if we are talking about the games as we see them today. But here I see great potential for other types of games, namely educational games.
In terms of technical specifications is pretty good, "HP - Sprout 23" Touch-Screen All-In-One - Intel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive "But also a little expensive .... ;)

HP's quality has lowered the last few years, do not buy any laptop or similar item from them.

I have an HP laptop and an HP desktop. I love the desktop and never gave me problems, but the laptop has poor quality, despite being expensive and being a good computer: sometimes does not start when only connected to the battery, heating and a hinge

The same has been said about Acer ... Don ´t buy Acer laptops, because they are low-quality ... blah blah ... The only bad thing was their start but after a lot of years the company is now somewhere else ... so don ´t judge the whole mark just for some bad moves.

In my opinion the ACER was never a good brand ... especially with regard to warranty! :(
