What do you understand or what do you have to say on the difference between web designing and web development bearings in mind that both of the two can be done by anyone so long as they have the relevant basic skills?

As far as I understand, web design is the making of a website appealing and attractive to visitors. Whereas, web development is adding, and improving the facilities that a website can offer.

Development is mainly associated with programming. If you are developing a website, you are basically creating a website from scratch.
