I have stayed away from cryptos. And I have my own personal reasons for it. I am a person with less risk appetite and not much clarity about it.
But it must have been attractive and lucrative to many. That's why so many people are involved in it. It's a big market globally.

I too have never engaged in the crypto currency fully but I am still learning about it before I fully venture on it.

I am also staying away from it since the day Government of India imposed an income tax recovery of 40% on crypto earnings. With that, and with PayPal's hefty commission, we won't be earning anything worth from it.

It sure is for me!!!! I ran some numbers this afternoon and I am rolling up to Three Million Satoshi in my two Bitcoin Faucets Now. And that is after withdrawing $200 USD last month as a hedge against disaster.

I just became somewhat familiar with crypto and I recently got some for free and someone wanted to make a deal so I did and it was a win on both ends

If what you wrote here is true (and I do not doubt that it is), you are overlooking that There Is NO Risk if you approach it the right way. The real beauty of Crypto for me has been you can get all you need For FREE and build it just like Jack built his beanstalk and scale it to your fortune while you sleep. The only problem is, you have not seen enough that you believe it, YET! When you do, there will be no way to hold you back.

What makes crypto attractive is it is a payment system as well as digital assets. As a payment it is faster and cheaper, and as an asset it has the capacity to grow very big

I don't even think about the cost, since it's all free money for me anyway.

When you are using micro payments website, you do not pay huge fees, but when you will be transferring BTC or ETH through a normal wallet or exchanges, fees are terribly high

I think the attraction of the Crypto is brought about by making successful investment or stacking the Crypto and sell it when the prices go up and earn exorbitantly profits.

Cryptocurrency is only attractive when you have invested and made a profit out of it.

Crypto is attractive if you know or have an idea of when to buy the low and take profit when price goes up then vice versa

Or it may be because you have not discovered that borders have nothing to do with it. I collect Bitcoin for free and deposit it where it gains Compound Interest DAILY and watch it grow exponentially from getting more interest on the interest it earns added to my next deposit. People are willing to pay to advertise to other people no matter what country they live in or what Tier it fits into, so my Bitcoin Balances keep going UP every day and NEVER go down. Anybody can make money like that once they quit saying it can't be done and TRY IT with money they can get for free and once they get a few Satoshi and they start multiplying like breeding Rabbits, resist the temptation to say it's too little to be worth it and keep feeding it until you have MILLIONS upon MILLIONS and you start thinking, "Oh Yes You Can".

Yeah. The high cost of fees charged by wallets and exchanges coupled with Government taxes deters one from cypto, I would say.

That is the result of Stinkin' Thinkin'
The bottom line is it's FREE MONEY if you play it right. Who cares if a few other guys see an easy way to get rich by syphoning a little of yours as long as you get rich too?

Crypto is attractive for a number of reasons ,one of it is being made as a mode of payment, if I am asked to choose a mode for payment anytime, I will always choose to be paid in crypto.
