For me before I sign up any website or a forum I would visit the forum in question as a guest visitor and examine it fast. If it's appealing like having a good theme, a nice user experience and the needed type of content in there I would subsequently join. Failure to which I won't sign up.

I am using a couple of non paying forums, I use them for the content. I use a couple of ptp forums, I am using them basically to earn some money. I join forums if I have time to contribute

For me I would join a paid to post forum that is legit and paying it's members. I would then join after I see the payment proof.

I was really tempted to join this new forum when I saw an easy contest they are running to make $60 just for posting what you like to do (if you win). Then I noted their normal pay is $18 a month for a daily visit. https://speakchatforum.com/

Unfortunately, they only have PayPal as a payment option and that lets me out. I am going to keep a close eye on it to see if they come up with some better options for me.

In most cases, someone must have recommended such forum to me its just left for me to give a try but this time not as a guest .

Any forum that has a high level of activity is an attraction for me to join.
