News About Twitter's Ad Revenue Sharing

Postby cmoneyspinner » 16 Aug 2023, 18:24

If you have been keeping up with Twitter ever since Elon Musk took over then you know there have been ups and downs. In the most recent news Elon Musk tried to entice people to pay for the $8 Subscription by promising to share the ad revenues.

I did not jump for this "opportunity". I have been waiting to learn more. This is an article dated August 5, 2023.

In news that isn’t very surprising given the recent history of Twitter, which Elon Musk is currently rebranding to X, the company won’t be able to make some promised payments on time. The X Support account says that because its “Ads Revenue Sharing” program is so popular, “We need a bit more time to review everything for the next payout and aim to get all eligible accounts paid as soon as possible.”

Elon Musk’s X can’t send Blue subscribers their ad revenue-sharing payouts on time - The Verge

My thoughts? Yep yep. I kind of figured that might happen.

Your thoughts?

I don't jump on the bandwagon immediately. I wait and watch and take decisions if something has proven to be worth using. I am watching how this goes.

It's still basically the same old Twitter and I am very careful not to let it snag more valuable time than it's worth, which is a major challenge.

But it is expected that they take time to get everything running smoothly. I don't see anything unusual here. It happens with a new innovation like this.

Sometimes payments do delay. But when this occurs even before the first payout, something might come up in the mind of those who had wished to get paid. Lets wait and see what X will do.

Online users always moan when there is a slight glitch in payment issues. But Twitter is not RIF that they should be scared about. This is a global brand that has integrity to protect.

You pay a monthly fee of $7 or $8. As soon as you sign in to your Twitter account the invitation pops up. You'll see it. Click to get the details.

It sounds like you did it, right? I think I will wait for more positive results from people I know.

The subscription is monthly. That is to say you pay $8 every other month. It is not too bad if you ask me.

Because you can hardly earn back $8 from the ads revenue program monthly for most people, so it is expensive

I wonder what are the requirements apart from paying the $8 monthly subscription fees. Is it legible for every twitter user?

One should be cautious unless the $8 fee doesn't pinch or one can wait for the payouts.
Apart from that also, one cannot be sure how Elon Musk would go as things move forward.
He might be instrumental in more sudden or surprise changes.

NO. Elon Musk has not gained my trust. I don't believe in his promises. Plus business news keep reporting that the value of Twitter stock is going down, especially after his rebranding to "X".

Actually, rebranding it X is the best part of the changes. I don't even have it bookmarked anymore it's to easy to type X and Ctrl enter.

I believe that Z would keep paying the users. It's conditions is a bit tough which makes it very sustainable.

LOL. As far as getting to the platform, that part is easy. But it doesn't seem to help him increase the company's value
or get more advertisers. He is making lots of other changes but to be honest, I have not benefitted from any of the changes so far. Those changes must only impact "the elite"

This seems a very good deal so one needs to make their own research and find out more on that before making any transaction.

May be it needs some time for things to get back to normal. You see rebranding has its own implications in the short run
