Postby Treborika » 01 Oct 2023, 13:20

So what do you think most webmasters prefer ad revenue to affiliate marketing?

I think it depends on their skill levels or lack of lazyness, but I prefer Affiliate Commissions or even personal promotion that leads to income indirectly.

One factor determining whether a person goes for the affiliate marketing or ad revenue avenue to earning online income is the amount of time that one has. If a person has relatively little time to spare, she should ideally opt for the ad revenue option.

Conversley, if you are an old retired guy with nowhere to go and all day to get there (like me) I might as well spend it getting both sides of the payments.

It is not about how much time you have, it is about how skilled you are in building traffic.

I find ad revenue to be reliable in most cases. However, a website where I was a chief editor and was very happy, well, the website had to close due to no ad revenue.

Then, as for affiliates, I find almost impossible to earn a penny.

Both work for me. Affiliate marketing is a set and forget for as long as the traffic source is OK. On the other hand, Ad money comes in when the target is real and has real traffic.

There are a few reasons why webmasters may prefer ad revenue over affiliate marketing. Firstly, ad revenue is typically more passive income compared to affiliate marketing, which requires actively promoting products or services. With ad revenue, webmasters can simply place ads on their website and earn money based on the number of clicks or impressions.

I have changed my mind.

There is a website called Java Momma with an Ambassador Program (aka: affiliate). I am really interested in joining.

In the past, I was on the Skinny Squad of Jordan's Skinny Syrups and did not earn a dime.

The syrup is astronomical in cost and so is the shipping.

The coffee is affordable.

So now you are into affiliate than ad revenue? When you combine the 2 believe me everything will be great.

If Java Momma feels more reasonably priced and you’re interested about it, then sure, it's worth testing.
