learn how to code in C, since all(or maybe not) PL's are derived from this language. I first learned C when i was in college. I then studied Java which is, i think, my preferred language back then. Right now i'm dealing with Php since this is the requirement here in the office. :)

I'm java dev. but i must say that its very difficult to use in creating a site. You can use php for back-end and html5 in apperance.

Learning a programming language is not easy. And people who want to start learning always have trouble deciding. HTML is a good option and JAVA as well. Unfortunately learn to program takes a long time and it takes great dedication ... and sometimes do not have time ...

I would recommend php as a beginner. It's very easy to understand, it has a fast load time, it's less expensive and flexible in terms of data connectivity.

The answers are quite consensual. Start a programming language is not easy, but as we learn one will be learning the logic and others are easier. So it is important not to give up right from the start ... :)
