I do not know web programming, but loved to do. So I read a lot about it and these three text editors that are mentioned the most widely used and regarded by developers as the best. There are also text editors paid and other free. The notepad ++ is free, which is very good! :)

Dreamweaver, it not only a text editor, you can also design and use it as a FTP software to connect to your server. Iv'e been using Dreamweaver while i'm working. Sometimes i use Notepad++ or Sublime then filezilla as the FTP software. But beware using Dreamweaver. It'll take a lot of your PCs resources. :D

Dreamweaver is WYSIWYG software. They really help when designing websites but if you are a web developer no one will hire you only for Dreamweaver. We need knoweldge of programming languages.

NOTE:Im not saying that you don't know any programming languages.

I'm using Notepad++ in my Java classes at school before and I really like it. I'm also using sublime then and by far, these two are very functional and easy to use.
