there is some difference such as :
JQuery is a specific library of JavaScript code.. but JavaScript is a scripting language used within a web browser.

Technically, jQuery is javascript only wrapped and much more easier to use.

jQuery is high performance and more reliable. In other words, JQuery is a framework for writing JavaScript tasks in a easier way than using JavaScript.
