Putting an email address on your website may attract spammers and trolls. Perhaps some spiders/bots might even roam the net collecting these to give to spammers. Do you put this on your website or do you just use a contact us form?

A contact form is the best solution we can do.Hackers could still get the emails but it won't be that easy for them.But some email services offer protection against spam and other things like that.However,im not soo sure about this.

I try not to but I think I have a blog post with one of my email addresses showing and probably a Youtube video with it showing too. Good point though bad way to attract spam and trolls.

On my blog I have only that small google+ window, but not with email.

I actually did put my e-mail address in my blogs but those were just spare e-mails, which is only for receiving e-mails from my followers and notifications about my blog. You can always but something where they can contact you but don't expose your personal e-mail which contains vital information about yourself.

With contact form you can get your mail caught too, because most of the contacts form send a mail to you saying that you will get answer soon and blablabla

unfortunately I am attacked all day with a large amount of spam, I believe that websites that you register sell these e-mails to generate spam

I don't put emails publicly. For every domain/blog i make, there's always a partner email for it. For example i have a domain named "spam_me.com" i'm going to create the email "no-reply@spam_me.com". Building a contact us form is the way to go then just add captcha.

It's not safe if you are posting your personal email or any emails that are related and important to your website. Must put an inquiry form for your clients or customers for safety.

I am using a contact form to avoid unnecessary spams on my email and this is my one of the easiest solution so far..

I just put a contact form and collect the data, but if any one ask my email id I will provide them by Private message or email.

we didnt put email to website, contact form will be the best or telephone no. for optional contact information.

I do not show any means to contact me be it email, phone number or what not. I am aware of all the possibilities you mentioned and I could not agree more. I do not get bothered though if I receive spam mails my concern is they eat some space on my folders and it takes an extra time just to delete them

i dont.. i used to at first and what happens? i got tons of spam mails on my spam folder.. and sometimes those spams went to my inbox.. i never do that again

I see no harm in displaying my email address when am publishing anything.It is a way of marketing myself or reaching out to people.What i cannot leave behind is my password.I always use a private browser when am doing things online as a way of protection.

I post "an" email, but not my main email. I have one address that I've had for years that I try to avoid posting anywhere. I have a "spam" email that I use when I sign up for stuff, and I have a separate address that I post on my blog. It's basically a throw away too. If it gets too full of spam, I'll delete it and make a new one.
