When I used to blog, I realized that it is easier to make the connections if you try to look for other blogs that post the same topics as you do. Like when I am making a food and travel blog, I looked for other people who have a blog about food or traveling and then commented on a few posts. Often times, they will follow you back.

Yes, but you do have to be careful. You can't just go spam your link all over a bunch of other people's blogs. Use discretion.

Agree with social media. The toughest bit if you just have a blog is having no way of keeping in touch with visitors to send them back to your site/blog. Having social media means you can let them know when you have a new post.

for me, you don't need to find for followers to your blog. If you write good enough, your blog will eventually rise up and viewed by many people in internet thus, will help you gather followers. Don't focus on having big network of followers but instead, study in-dept on your niche so you can write good stuffs on your blog.

Social networks! But one thing that works really well for me is going to other people's blogs and leave comments and sign with my link. Usually people reply the comment and if they like what they see they will follow you!

That's the problem with launching a blog. You may have a good design and interesting content but you may not have an audience. Maybe you have to check for your potential market before launching a blog.

I am not sure if I can give you the best tips as I am not at best on this. My friend says that you should be reading a lot of other people's blog to gain readers too. Your comment is a must because if your comment is really about the topic of that blog, the owner of the content will remember you and if you shared a little about what you write, for sure it will gain the interest of the other readers too.

Don't expect everyone to follow back or comment because that really depends on the content that you have... If you have great content the chance for you to get big engagement is bigger...

Blog followers that are genuine find your blog themselves and subscribe. Depending on the content you offer, if they like they can subscribe and if they don't, they simply ignore. May be Facebook and other social media channels.

Getting subscribers for You Tube channel and getting followers for Blog is totally depends upon the sincere hard worked content because I myself follow those people who show some extra content.

I don't have a Blog, but I comment on here and advertise websites that invite my readers to visit me here and sign up for a free account so they can PM me. Then instead of writing blog posts, I write one page web pages that tell my story and link to them with my signature and profile that shows the little Globe under my photo. As long as I keep helping other people it builds my reputation and they look at my stuff. I also run ads on Traffic Exchanges and Social Websites. but I need to do that more. The trick to keep them from looking like spam is to link them to a story with a valuable message.
