Website Advertisement Addon

Postby Jordan » 11 Oct 2013, 05:43

So, I recently came into an addon that seems to be well worth the $50 it charges.

http://xenforo.com/community/resources/ ... sing.2366/

It seems to be a really detailed automated system for anyone looking to buy advertisements on your xenForo forum. Not only does it automate everything, it also includes statistics to the buyer as well.

Seems like a really neat addon, and I may be inclined to get it. However I am looking for some thoughts. Anyone got any?

The features it mention are really good and useful at both ends, as you have quite a large forum, I'd say it will be a good enhancing addition to it.

The function of the Add-on looks impressive to me. It will be handy to large forums.

I know it, but I have never used it. I don't own a XenForo community, but if I owned, I would definitely use it. It's good and its features are the best.

Just so everyone knows, (Old topic I know) but I decided I would not get it. I purchased a $45 self hosted script instead to run my in house ads from my network site instead. This way I was able to run and sell ads on several of my websites.

Not to mention, users don't have to register in order to purchase ads which both saves time, and gets more purchases.

Thanks for the update Jordan. How is it working out for you, has it helped to increase your ad revenue?

What was the script you ended up buying (if you don't mind me asking)?

Oh def.
Ad sales on WebGuruBB have nearly been sold out for the entire year I have had it up.

The Header ads where sold out every month as well up until roughly two months ago. The script was set up last October so it's been nearly a year ads where sold out every month. I had to even sell "ques" (In which the sidebar still has them and is also sold out on people waiting to put their ad up).

So the script has done wonders. The best part of it is, I don't have to share 25% of the revenue with some ad service like BuySellAds, or Publicity Clerks.

http://www.oiopublisher.com/
And after taking a look its $47 not 45 :$ One of my other admins owned a copy and he set the site up with it. I eventually bought my own copy as he is no longer with us :(

The script comes in a standalone version, or a wordpress version.
I have the standalone version integrated with my network site. (Even though my site is using wordpress, the standalone was easier to manage on multiple websites and easier to customize)
