SEO : Internal Links

Postby blair » 22 Jul 2015, 09:19

Anyone here who bothers create internal links or do you even know how to create one ( no insult intended ).
When I was new and would visit a site with internal links, I find it quite confusing because I tend to go in circles clicking on them and would not accomplish my goal for visiting.

Did you benefit anything from making these links other than making your site easier to navigate and find related content?

Not sure if I get your question right.

I think internal links are quite necessary for a good navigation flow to some extent.

If those links have any SEO value? Almost none. Except if its a Blog 2.0 and you need to build some links pointing to other posts to increase its link juice.

Cheers,

Wal

Can you explain us why? If we are running a forum community, should we ban external links or not?

This is serious post :P Your answer will help.

Using internal links in the blog's content is very helpful to increase your traffic, as the search results will lead many users to your blog, if they search has contained some of those information available on internal link.

To create sitemap is beneficial for site in terms or SEO. Bit sometime if they are placed everywhere in site it make users little confusion. Its better to include site map in footer.

I create internal links on my hubpages article and I do this only for the materials that are interconnected. Internal links helps to navigate similar contents easily or find more information on the topic. My internal links help me get more traffic.

I don't have any idea what is the difference of external link and internal link? Is this the links found on your blog? Why does it work for a blog and not for a website?

With internal and external links you attract more visitors to your blog. Good links provide youu more traffic and pageviews, and that allows yo to earn more money, especially if you have Ad Sense on your blog. That is a great way for monetization of your blog.

Internal links do add value to the site for seo purpose. But the main reason for them is make user experience better, by providing him a easy way to navigate within the site and help him to find what he is looking easily and effecently.

very interesting placement, they actually hinder much our main goal.
I would add that they leave the visually polluted site.

By internal links you mean connection to different pages and blogs on the sane website? Yes I do create then and they are important. If a visitor has come and liked content on one page most likely the person would like to read more.. Internal links will get you more page views.. Read more revenue. And it also decreases bounce back ratio. Which is for good.

I almost allways use internal links. They can be useful if you know what you are doing. At first i thought there is no point in making inernal links but as i learned SEO i found out i was wrong.

Yes I do create internal links in my posts. Internal links are important in the way that if someone reads your post on a topic and you add another link to a relevant thing in ur site then the visitor will also visit those pages and this will increase the visitor's staying time on ur site and blog. It also helps Google crawl your each and every page easily.
