The host provider of our office website is selected by the webpage designer. I couldn't disagree because the designer is most comfortable with the host provider and probably he gets a commission. To us, it's just okay as long as the service is good.

Yeah.. Most of the designers do the same..They get commision from hosting websites and buch of other websites.Its part of the job

It's difficult to tell that such a webhosting service is reliable. As for me, once a host has the key requirements including uptime guarantee, free ssl, free domain, fast speed, lots of storage, backups, etc, that is good. I tried Godaddy but looks they have limitations. May be Hawkhost is best to try.

I use free blogger which don't need to pay for anything, I earned a lot from blogger.com with their nice totally free service. Google ads were very comfortable on these websites.

I have a reseller account with Jaguarpc Hosting and have for over 20 years. What's good is I only have one customer left, but he pays enough to cover the cost of my account and all my own websites ride free. They are not the cheapest host around, but they are not the most crowded either (like hostgator).

Yea Google Blogger offers 100% uptime and unlimited everything. If you can handle that, its the best hosting. Good you can use your own domain once you map it.

Then again, it's quite foolish to pay for a dedicated server when all you are running is a low bandwith advertising page.
