Opinions and Suggestions needed: Creating a Forum

Postby tsikenadobo » 29 Jul 2015, 20:16

Anybody here who knows a good host for an online forum.
I am planning to set-up a forum, one that will be available to our country, but I don't have much knowledge in doing it so if possible it will only be simple and easy to manage.

Our office forum runs on SMF platform. It is easy to maintain and backup although lately we haven't done the upgrade of the platform. It is easier than Wordpress although Wordpress has more function.

you can try the web, but I think it can not get credit at adsense with him, but you can get other ways to make money on the forum, a clear example is the forumcoin

Forumcoin uses phpBB it seems to the most popular forum software. SMF is also popular and there are other softwares like myBB for forums. Installing the forum will be simple, however maintenance of a forum can be very time consuming, there are many spammers. Getting members will be difficult initially.

When I had my forum I remember I used Wordpress and it was really good! It had a very good client support and loads of features and themes! So just check this one out!

And I guess they are mostly free and no charge for using. I agree with the difficulty of getting initial members. There should be a sort of a launch to invite users in the community.
