Is it possible for some websites to be too good to be true?

Postby Happyland » 21 Aug 2015, 22:27

I have read a lot about how some sites have not paid people when attempting to cash out such as bubblews and other sites; or, some sites ban people after cashing out--for no legitimate reason. Would you say some sites are too good to be true?

well, technically, it is possible, most espscially when admins were just testing out the site and high payments can be a part of their promotion to attract users. Once they got enough users delivering traffic, they may set their payments low until it became scam. I'm jsut saying the possibilities but the're some that really pays high and passive but those sites requires skills and expertise which was needed in order to order money. For example are the fiverr for gigs, upwork and freelancer.

Most sites are only up for the purpose of getting traffic and develop. The only way to attract people is to use deceit and huge promises they cannot keep.

Yes definitely. They made theirs sites to appear too good and will surely pay its members, that's how they attract people to become members.

Some sites needs to be appear to be good to true so that people will get interested, visit the site and earn from it. During payday, that is the only time you will realized you have been scammed.

It depends in what is your perception of "too good". For me there aren't such sites. There are some sites that are better than others but they are not never "too good to be true" ;)

Well yes, that's why we have all these online scams. These sites are set up to look professional (well, some of them!), they make wild claims, make empty promises and can be very convincing. To the untrained eye, it all seems legitimate, and people get drawn in until they realise they aren't going to be paid and/or the site folds and disappears without a trace. My personal mantra? If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly will be. You can't be too careful, look a bit further into it and ask for a second opinion to avoid being taken for a fool.

I am generally of the opinion that if a site sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I used to belong to a site called Traffic Micro which paid out good money daily. I earned $1.65 a day which was paid straight into my paypal account daily for doing 10 simple copy and paste tasks from my phone. These tasks were dotted throughout the day .. It was so easy.

One day it simply disappeared and since then I have learned it was a click fraud site because it was poaching ads from Google. When google find out they put a stop to it and then the site is closed but they will start up another one. I have heard another site from these people is in the pipeline.

There are many online money making opportunities that are certainly too good to be true. I was swindled a couple of year ago by a PTC website, that ended up scamming all of its users out of their investments and money, and I did feel like it was too good to be true. Turns out that I was right.

Of course there are a lot of website booming online that are too good to be true and most of them are investment program especially those who offered huge amount of interest percentage of earnings which in the first time reading the information of the site really sounds impossible and too good to be true. Also, I notice a lot of Paid To Click program especially newly launch that are too good to be true offering 1$ per click or more than that and some are 0.5$ per click sounds too good to be true because the normal PTC programs only offer ranges 0.001 - 0.01 - 0.1$ per click or something like that amount.

I think that some websites are too good to be true while users are sticking out with them hoping that it come true. Look at the cgpgallery which turned out to be a scam. A lot of people spent their time writing there hoping that they will find another site like bubblews.

There are many sites that are too good to be true. There has been a lot of scammers crawling on the web nowadays.
You have to do good research on an interested site before you plan to invest any time/money in there.

The thing is most of these websites do not offer a legit business. Only writing is legit. But when such sites like bubblews are launched members start posting just anything on them to make money. The idea of owners is to make as many members as they can and make money through traffic / ads. Traffic comes through good quality data, which the members fail to produce.
Secondly, websites like bubblews offer such a lucrative amount to members which eventually fails because company ran out of funds.

When I joined Whzon, it was a site that was too good to be true. You post a pic or a video and earn 8 cents when it gets a like. One writer friend earned $20 in 3 days. Not impossible with that scheme. However, when I joined, the site had drastically changed the policy of earnings down to 2 cents and with a limit as well.

Many, many, sites are too good to be true, unfortunately. If they sound like they are then they usually are. People often buy into hype though, and these scammers know exactly how to produce a reaction from trusting or impulsive types or often desperate people looking for way to make money online.

And I have found that even if the premise of an online earning website sounds too good to be true, but lives up to what it says, there is often a con in another area. For instance, there are some websites that pay well for little work. But then the payout takes a month to reach your bank account, or you have to compete with other users for the work. Noting ever seems to be smooth sailing.

A good site should not live on lies and deceit. Many get scammed because they do not do a backgrownd check on a site before joining.Sites use huge payouts and easy earning to scam people.

Anything can be too good to be true, including websites. Nothing is always 100% trustworthy. I wish there was a way where you can tell instantly.
