Which forum software has the best range of free and premium themes in your opinion?

I've always been very impressed with the range of themes available for MyBB, they seem to be really professional looking, yet simple and user-friendly in appearance. There are lots of great free MyBB themes as well.

I agree with you Brad. I am not very experienced with other softwares, that's why I am saying phpBB and XenForo.

I would say Xenforo have some great designers on board as do myBB. I can not really find any decent free themes for phpBB though.

Free themes are about the same for phpbb and mybb, but I think premium theme of mybb have the edge over all the rest, I've seen a few that just are wow, great first impression, but ofcourse expensive.

If I could pick two, I would pick XF and MyBB. I like the themes that are available for both software. Both the premium options as well as the free options are appealing.

It's all about opinion and genre of forum. People have different ideas to which forum software has the best themes but out of personal preference I'd always choose MyBB. Followed by IPB, XenForo then PhpBB.

Honestly I'm not too sure about that. The open source nature of free forum software has resulted in a lot of talented designers creating themes for those products. vBulletin has lost a lot of customers in recent times and very few forums are updating to their latest version. As a result there are very few forums running on VB5 and hence very few designers creating quality themes for it.

I have never ever seen a VB forum with an awesome theme, I think IPB had better themes than VB among the paid.

The open source nature of free forum software has resulted in a lot of talented designers creating themes for those products. vBulletin has lost a lot of customers in recent times and very few forums are updating to their latest version. As a result there are very few forums running on VB5 and hence very few designers creating quality themes for it.

I haven't used VB yet. As the forum is already paid one, I don't think people would like to pay more for the themes. As phpBB and MyBB are free to install, anyone could pay less for the themes.

I believe any theme can be put on any software.
However, their will always be some noticeable differences. XenForo has an amazing interface. I love it.
IP.B, as messy as it is to make themes for them, they also have a lovely user interface. MyBB would probably be my next choice. phpBB would be next. However I'm not to found on the mybb and phpbb user panel.
vB, is a horrid interface in a new user perspective. and I'm not saying that just because I don't support them, I'm just not to keen on the way it generally looks. However, they still offer some nice themes nonetheless.
