Yes it is right, You can get the domain name from name cheap .xyz for 1$. And can make 100% to 1000% profit by selling the domain.

Here is an example, I bought uranus.xyz. Dont you think the owner of uranus.com/.net/.org want the .xyz version too? What if someone is collecting domain names of all planets with .xyz extension? Isnt uranus.xyz the perfect domain for an uranus related website or blog?

An example would be sun.org which bought uranus.org and is trying to collect the remaining planets.

I am not familier with that domain as it may be new. In the opening stage they are providing for 1$ but when i check they will charge 10$+ after 1 year.

I saw that on their site and I must say that is okay. A domain name .xyz for beginners is great.

Personally I don't like that kind of domain name. I would register .com or .net.

I don't like extensions other than dot com (for commercial purpose) and dot org (for non profit cause). I don't know if anyone will be interested to buy dot xyz domain. Since you say you made money, I will check this out.
