What is the first thing you do once you've got your forum script installed. Do you install mods, themes make boards or user groups etc?.

I will first make boards and groups then after I have some content on the forum then I will apply theme.

I usually install a new style first, then install mods and then set up the forums and do the setting tweaks etc. I always do the mods after I add a style because it means I only have to do the style edits once. No point doing the style edits for a mod and then adding a new style hours or days later and then having to redo the edits.

First for me is the theme/style and logo, then mods/plugins and then categories and forums.

With phpBB, I always installed the theme first, it saves having to install the mods into the themes again and again.

I always install the theme first. Making the boards is a tedious process that I usually choose to procrastinate. I also have to be in a quiet place when I write board descriptions.

Agree with you, I take the descriptions and tag lines too seriously sometimes, put in some hard effort to make it perfect.
