Have you ever coded anything?

Postby Sam » 31 Aug 2013, 22:39

Have you ever coded anything? Or designed anything?

The only website I have ever coded is www.thebookstore.co.nz. Developing sites just takes way too much time. :P

I have been creating some images ( ranks, buttons etc ) for some years. I don't like coding though. ;)

I know some HTML, basic PHP and very basic JavaScript. As my knowledge is limited I can't create complex sites from scratch but have done some coding to modify and customise sites I own. The only sites I've really coded from scratch are basic static HTML ones, such as BannerSlam.com, which is just about the most basic site you can get :)

The site looks excellent Sam, you should be very proud of it.

It was a program which did things for you like you tell it where to click and it clicks there etc but it had quite a few bugs so i just stopped it i may reopen it though.

I've coded a few things, but nothing too big. I haven't ever actually coded a whole website before as I've really never had the need.

I know basic HTML and CSS. I can not create images so I am limited to what I can do in terms of coding a theme. I let the professionals do it for me so I know it will work.

The only actual coding I did was when I had to do that for a project in College a while ago.

Is the site still up, would it be possible for us to view it?

I have been coding for about 3-4 years, in that time I have picked up knowledge in PHP, CSS, HTML and SQL, I have also got very great knowledge wpin Visual Effects and 3D modelling, I use to create YouTube backgrounds but that was a while ago. As for PHP etc, I am working on a very unique website, that should launch sometime this year, it's all being coded by me so ill show that when complete.

Thank you Fergal, I'm always working on improving it too. Still not completely finished with the last major update, small things are still getting moved around and fixed.
