App for your website?

Postby Sam » 05 Sep 2015, 01:52

Have you ever thought about having an app for your website? I know that Plato developed a facts app for coolfacts.in when he owned the site. It would display mini "quick facts".

Just saw this: http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ which appears to make app development easy.

If I were to develop an app, it would probably be using python just because I have some knowledge of it. :P

If your website is developed quite nicely and you have a large following a website app could be quite handy, so I'll be looking into it in the future.

I have thought of making an application but not for my website. I think there are a lot of successful applications out there which is incredible yet there are also a lot of applications copying other applications. Well, I have also seen a website that makes application for people's website.

Good for you if you have the knowledge to make apps. Where did you learn making apps?

I don't know how to build a app, however, an app for your website is a good idea. Once I tried free app building tool (automated tool) to build an app for my website. I tested the app on my phone and computer and it was good. However, I did not make it live.

I was going through the steps, it does not seem as simple as it is mentioned on the video. Have anyone tested on this program. I am very interested to create an app for myself.

I think it's a good idea but you need to Traffic to your site and followers also believe that the work of the application for the site need some things I saw the video for some time to explain about it and you can earn money through it.

This is interesting. I was looking for something like this. I think having an app on your site is a huge plus. Example, if you have a site about interest rates and add an app that calculates them than that will give you advantage over other sites.
P.S. I would also use python to develop an app :D
