The first time I tried Basic was in my first computer (Spectrum ZX 128k +2) lololol
I was not an expert but we could do some simple things.
After that I never tried any programming language, but I would love to learn some, like java, for instance.
Unfortunately I don't have the time that I needed to learn :( Perhaps some day... ;)

I try and stay away from creating web applications that need a true programming language. If I have to get dirty and program something I'm more likely to use javascript for typical website stuff and c++ for real program development. But frankly I've basically stopped doing any real programming as its just too time consuming and typically not necessary for make money sites.
