HTML Validation

Postby Raeph » 30 Dec 2013, 01:29

Do you make sure your HTML is validated, or is it something that doesn't bother you?

For me it depends who the site is for. If I'm doing it for a commercial client I ensure the HTML is validated but otherwise it doesn't really bother me.

True, if it is for commercial purpose then it is to be validated, but it is good to practice it for all websites.

I do think the same. HTML validation doesn't really matter in my personal websites.

I would do it for personal websites aswell, Afterall someone could look at the source code of your personal websites, and using validated code on your own sites aswell would make you look more professional.

Would you care if someone looked at your source code and validated it?
I wouldn't bother with it at all really apart from when you get really picky customers who validate your code.

You can use this free tool provided by W3.org to validate your code. http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input

I do not think that it should bother as far as it is not troubling you for navigation or stopping Google bots from crawling your website.

It is not the subject of same validation to give in your site ..you can use the many different types of validation according to yourself.

HTML validation is not a big thing and should not care about everytime. Sometime it will show error for some silly things, but you need to test once just to see what are the errors and is there anything that is priority.

In my opinion you need to validate your HTML from the moment you intend to post it online :p

I've been taught it that way in college anyway :p
For a couple of reasons actually.
Just as main reason was professionalism and honor x'D
Nah just kidding, it's mostly for those who snoop through your HTML codes and for people with handicaps who use HTML software to decode everything :)
