phishing links

Postby Vinaya » 20 Sep 2015, 03:12

Since some time I am encountering a problem on forum coin. When I try to open a thread,my antivirus warns me that the thread is a phishing link and it automatically blocks the links. Have you encountered this problem. How can this be solved.

Luckily, I have not encountered this problem so far. If it happens, I have to look for my ways and means to solve it. I use Quick heal and I think it is okay even though quick heal does not solve certain problems that we encounter while we are online.

No, still i didn't encounter this problem, so far there ain't much people who got it, and also when you got warning did you had another page open on new tab along with ForumCoin? if yes then some advertisements on other webpages get Blocked by antivirus and by means of phishing.

I've never had that problem when I have been navigating forumcoin, and I have two different anti virus softwares on my computer.

I've had this on another site but not here. I used to get it on one ptc site but when I told them they said it was because my antivirus filter was set too high. I didn't really understand what they meant because I didn't have a problem on any other site.

I get the phishing warning coming up on Neobux a lot. It happens with some other websites too, but there are some websites that I will ignore the warning for and enter anyway.

Re: phishing links

Usually the main cause of issues like this is because a page contains content from a domain marked as malicious. For example take forumcoin for example. If someone here has a avatar uploaded at a image host called fcimagehosting.com for example and that image hosting domain is marked as malicious by Google or an anti virus software, some users will find that it will block whole pages from loading if any page contains a image belonging to that domain. It is not really a danger to users but it still shows a scary warning as if you are now about to have your identity stolen. If you ever have a page here blocked from loading because of phishing or something like that, send me a PM to a link that triggers the error and I will find what is causing it and fix it.

I have never experienced this in forum coin but I have had a problem loading the website. I don't know if my internet connection is just slow. I didn't know about phishing links. This is new to me. I don't know how anti virus works but I'm glad yours work properly.

I have not experienced that here but I have experienced it on a music site. I was wondering why I was all of a sudden getting that message and getting blocked from allowing the site. In the past it worked just fine.
