To start making our website, we must prepare an email address and a notepad which we will use for recording our passwords and such. We now have to go to freenom.com and click the “Register a new domain” button on the upper right corner of the page. Now put in the fields over there your chosen or preferred domain namesif it is available or not. If your domain name is no longer available, then you have to make another one.

After that, you can now choose your desired domain names like .ga, .cf, .ml, .tk, etc. and it should indicate “Free” then click “Get it now” then “Checkout.”



Do not click “Continue” yet because you have to put the appropriate nameservers so that we could make use of our future website. Now on the “Period” tab, go to the drop-down list and then choose “12 months free”. After that, click the “Use dns” and then click the “Use your own dns” and input these two nameservers ns01.000webhost.com and ns02.000webhost.com. Leave the IP addresses blank.



Now, just fill your necessary details, click and agree to the “Terms and Conditions” and then click continue to finish it off, you now have created your brand new domain name!

Now we go to the hosting site where we will put your newly created domain name. Right now the site is on maintenance so I will not yet post the step-by-step procedure, it is important that you now learned how to make your own free domain name and soon, your own FREE wordpress website! Cheers!

It is not a good idea to make the domains under those extensions, because they are readily available and can appear unprofessional. If you don't know anything about setting up a website, it is just best to pay someone else to, In my opinion.

I noticed you included .info as one if the “unpopular domains", but several years ago I proved to myself that is only a myth. It does clearly describe a domain that provides information and Google will rank them right along with .com and others. I proved this by getting my username as a .info domain and it has ranked #1 on Google for that term ever since.

Do you wonder why I would want to rank for that term if people would never search for it? Because I find some forums don't allow links or personal information everywhere and readers may get curious about something I wrote and look for me. Yes it does happen.

Depending on our goal the domain can be important or not. If we are just setting up a blog where we share some information and maybe some affiliate links then I don't believe the domain is important. What really matters is the traffic you will drive to your site, the meta tags included and if the free host server is reliable or not. Unlike personal websites business ones need a different attention, if you want to sell something then you should pay for a proper domain and hosting space, imagine you want to have payments through paypal then you must assure your costumers that your site is safe and you can only do that if you are paying a host service which provides such security.

The main problem with free hosting are the ads they show, the internet speed and space available for your site, plus if you want to add a service like Adsense in most cases you can't. I only use free hosting and free domains for unimportant things to all the rest I prefer to pay.

Yes, we have to get a good domain extension for matters that are important especially if we are selling something, but if our goals are just promotional or just practicing then having fun in making our first free websites for free is a good first step. We will also get what we pay for if either we get a free one or a paid one for ourselves, so it really depends on our purposes.

There are many affordable hosting and domain out there but it is a fact that some can make use of those free domains and hosting for people who really are not planning to buy for some time and it is also a way to practice in making one so that when the time comes that they are ready, they have idea already on what to do with their paid websites.

I myself is planning to buy a ready-made one although it is just a far-away plan, the goal is to monetize it to earn a little from it as a passive income earner for myself.
