I was browsing another forum today and a gal asked how to post videos on Twitter from a desktop (not a phone), so it prompted me to dig around for the answer. it ended up being so simple, I thought maybe someone else may want to do it.

All I did was upload the video to YouTube, then visit the page it was on and click Share. A row of social network icons appears and click the little blue bird for Twitter. A window pops open to logon and Tweet (you can edit what it says), then just do it.

Videos attract attention on Twitter, so if you can add a hashtag (#keyword) to your tweet it has a better chance to be found. It also has a direct link back to your YouTube Channel, so traffic can go both ways.

I have to agree that videos attract attention on Twitter. Of course, how effective it is depends on your account popularity. But videos are a great tool.

I have a video blog but it does share to twitter. With your simple tutorial, I will also share my videos to twitter.

If you worry about being unpopular on twitter, choose the right words for your hashtags so that people will find you. Sometimes I surprised to see that my tweets had been retweeted or liked by random people. I am guessing they find me with the right words I used.

Good information on how to post a video on twitter and to give it more visibility. Sharing between youtube and social media sites is efficient and cool. I have to start posting videos. This will open up more avenues for me. Thanks for sharing this information.

Exactly. There are a number of things that people can do to get traffic on twitter. Putting all those techniques together is the trick to being siuccessful.
