Do you get more visitors to your website on certain days?

Postby thisnthat » 25 Nov 2015, 15:31

It probably depends on the type of site you own, but it seems like in some venues certain days are busier than others. Do you have a busy day where you tend to get more traffic to your site than other days? Are the weekends busier or is it all about the same?

When I ran holderhost, weekends were always waay slower for both traffic and sales. People tended to buy hosting during the week (and probably Tuesday/Wednesday/ Thursday were the best days for us). I think forums are similar: the weekends are usually quieter.

I have not noticed getting more traffic on any specific day. The only time I see an increase is when I post my link around in more places.

I am on Blogjob I don't have my own blog site. But on blogjob, my highest visitor count is 83 in one day. Not high for some, but high for me.

In my blogger blog, I noticed that I get more visitors when I publish a new recipe. But when I publish an article post, I still get some visitors, but not as much as a recipe blog post.

The site that shows a consistent activity for me is my pinterest site. Everyday I keep receiving notifications that someone followed me or my boards. Someone repinned or saved my pins. I do not even exert any effort on it because I could not monetize it unless I post some affiliate links on it. Pinterest is now removing those links especially on those accounts with higher traffic

I have blogs at Blogjob and I was trying hard to check on my statistics, however the site is very slow to open my statistic. I do not know if this is because I have lots of blog or whatever. Now I fail to see how many visitors I have in a day.

Funny thing: I own a micro niche website monetized by Adsense and I get a huge traffic boost on weekends! It's all about the niche it seems.

I figured that the type of content would make a difference. I mean, it makes sense. Some activities are geared more toward weekends. Also, things that need extensive research are more likely to be done on the weekend rather than during the work week when people have less free time.

For me the weekends are the days with most traffic , maybe it's because then people have more free time.

Yes, I used to host my wife's web page and there were days where I would get a lot of hits and other day where they would be a low number of hits.

I was never able to determine which days would be the best.

What amazed me was the number of bots that kept trying to get into the web page or just running around the web.

I do not have a website, but I do have a blog. I am not active with that, so do not have an idea on traffic.

I get more hits on the days I promote the hardest, it's that simple. If I post on a community website with a link back to my site, when the post generates enough incentive to click my link it means more hits for that day.

I get more views on certain days, this happens especially with the contents about certain festivals or days.

I used to get more visitors on a Sunday than any other day.

I seem to always get better results and visitors in the late evening while I am sleeping.

I have noticed that I always get maximum views on Saturday either in the morning or late in the evening but Monday is worst for me and next comes Sunday. Probably my posting time clashes with Church time.

I guess people have more time to surf on the weekends. That makes sense, although I always thought that a lot of people did their surfing from work. ;) I see so many people saying that they are at work when they are hanging out in forums and stuff.
