A quick tip to pass on, if you were not aware. I buy domain names often and have had an account with GoDaddy for over a decade. Usually when I see a sale like 99 cents for a ,com domain name, I find it's for the SECOND year, so it ends up being two years for almost the price of one.
Today I wanted to change the DNS server for a domain I owned that I was not using, so I could run some tests on it without fouling up any of my real domains. It takes time for the DNS to propagate, so when I went back to check on it I got an advertisement saying there was a sale on .com names for 99 cents (yeah, right), but after seeing a couple of times, I decided to see if it was true.
I had a .com I had in mind to buy, so I ordered it thinking when they git me with the 2 year price I would just drop it. Much to my surprise they did offer me 2 years for $9.95 (a very good deal) but this was just an experiment, so I changed the term back to one year. I did actually buy that domain name for 99 CENTS! (plus the normal 18 cents for ICANN), so I thought maybe someone here might be interested.
