It's just Roman Catholics (Evangelicals and Catholics are also Christians). Most Christians don't do the no meat on Fridays or even just on Good Friday thing.
I don't eat meat at all so it's no different for me, except that on Good Friday we have Hot Cross Buns.
Since you mentioned McDonalds, the Fillet-o-Fish was actually created for Catholics so they could still eat McDonalds on Fridays. I tried it back when I used to eat fish but I didn't like it. The fish is not a fillet, it's minced up and squashed into a mold to be square. It's just gross compared with eating fresh fish you caught a couple of hours earlier like I was used to.
Those who believe in Jesus are the ones who don't eat meat, that is, Catholics, Christians, and some Evangelicals. That's their problem. I ate some delicious fried chicken and a McDonald's combo meal.
