Treats To Show Understanding

Postby Spontaneo » 11 Apr 2026, 01:59

I have been in a funk for a while (not to worry). My roommate has been mean. So, for a day or 2, I organized our house and worked.

Then, I think Santa Claus and the Blessed Virgin Mary felt the stress that I was going through. So, I hopped on eBay.

Why? I love iced coffee. However, I always use brewed coffee. On YouTube, people always recommend Nescafe instant. I don't use instant period.

So, I found Nescafe on YouTube, for a little over $9.00 per jar or best offer. I made an offer for $6.00 and was accepted!

I received the Nescafe today! Delicious! There is not much caffeine though but the coffee is still good.

I have been attempting to handle my roommate's upset behavior. She has knee surgery next month and I have been told that she may be having menopause symptoms.

Sorry. I apologize.

I treated myself to show understanding of my roommate's behavior. Does that make sense?

She has knee surgery coming up soon.

Sorry I have not quite followed. I thought you would do something that would also involve your room mate.

To be more specific, while she is gone, I am going to have to take care of her spoiled cat. Feeding, litter box, cuddling with the cat as he is going to miss her too.

Then, I need to make sure that she gets her groceries to her while she is gone as she is going to hate the food there. For example, she wants to have her applesauce, her specific cereals, her favorite drinks, etc.

Better?

I'm glad you found something that makes you happy at an affordable price.

I was pleased recently that a local place had a sale on mug cakes (cakes you make in a mug in the microwave). The vegan ones were on sale for $2 for 3. I know I could make something like that at home with basic ingredients but it's so nice when I'm tired from work or study to just empty the packet into mug, add a little soy milk and nuttelex (non dairy spread), stir and cook. They're really nice and warming when it's cold.
