I believe we are living in a time globally where God is calling more women to lead. Just as Esther in the Bible was “called for such a time as this," I believe that this is the year of ‘A Kairos Election.’
Kairos Election. Kairos in the Greek, is defined as an appointed time and the ‘doctrine of election’ in summation, focuses on one's purpose in time. This phrase, 'A Kairos Election' points specifically to one's purpose in an appointed time; a time for which you are chosen.
As you scale the world, there is a significant rise in women occupying positions of power and
influence. The United States has a female Vice-President. President of India, a female. The Prime Minister of Finland, a female. 8.8% Fortune 500 CEOs are women - the highest of all indices - according to the Women CEOs in America Report 2022.
Having visible, female representation sends a powerful message and the understanding that women matter at the table. Or rather, can and should
Govern the table. The lack there of also sends a message, an outdated model, one contrary to biblical truth and what we promote every day across the world.
This year, I am excited to focus more time, advocacy, and financial investment towards women empowerment. In this year of 2023, my artistic platform will challenge global businesses, corporate America, non-profits, and specifically religious organizations to prioritize women in vacancies, on boards, and in key senior level positions. Now let me caveat: I thank God for the role men play on the earth and in our lives. I don’t support narratives that downplay men. I rather advocate for women to be partakers (as Colossians 1:12 says) in divine inheritance.
Personally, I always look to the scriptures for inspiration towards the causes I support. I believe that Jesus made a powerful statement by intentionally selecting Mary Magdalene to join Him amongst the 12 disciples. Mary Magdalene wasn’t selected because she filled a holy
quota. She was chosen. Chosen for an appointed time.
“With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effecht when THE TIMES reach their fulfillment - to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
