I like to watch anime movies and videos since I was a kid. Nowadays, I rarely watch anime and I don't know why. Whenever or every time I watch them with my siblings, it reminds me of my childhood memories and experiences.

If you like Dragon Ball watch One Punch man, it's a satire of all the anime of that kinda genre, good "action" comedy

I once addicted on these anime - Hunter X Hunter, One piece, Doraemon, Slam Dunk, and of course Barbie's. I think even this time I won't tired to repeat watching them all.

I know the names of most of the series mentioned because my daugters are devoted anime-ists (if there such a word ).

I sometimes watch with them. I can see the attraction. But I'm not hooked on it like they are. What I really like is the art! I'm on Tumblr and the anime artwork I find there is amazing!! There are lots of anime loyalists on Tumblr as well.

Yes, I watched in Japanese with English subs, because I can not wait for Italy to dub it, man they are only at episode 58-59

I finished Super with English Subs too. I endured Goku sounding like a Grandma. I am rewatching it now with English dub.

I can't help to defend my favorite art form because you are obviously looking down on it.

Not All Anime are fantasy based. There are drama ones that are about real life. Anime is a diverse art form with different genres that is even better than those soap operas about a poor girl with a rich boyfriend who have unapproving rich parents that you watch.

I don't watch anime because I don't like it much, most are very violent and I don't even believe children should see them. I remember to watch one or two episodes of Dragon Ball because my University stopped to watch it, everyone would end at the bar just to watch it which by that time I though it was really weird lol.

Again Anime have multiple genres. Not All Anime are violent. The most popular genre of Anime in Japan these days is Slice of life. Which shows regular lives of teenage girls and it has no drama and conflict. Anime is an art form with multiple genres. There are anime for children, teens and adults.

I watched tons of anime already especially in my younger days. I remember completing three different 50 or more-episodes anime in a week.

I still prefer watching Anime because there is more creative in storylines compare to those disgusting cliche soap operas moms watch about a poor lass who fall in love with a rich lad and the guy's mom don't like her because she is from a poor family. Then the guy have a crazy psychotic ex-girlfriend who wants to win him back. Mom and ex girlfriend will torment the female protagonist for being poor but little did they know she is the missing daughter of a billionaire.

Or how about those American High School dramas that portray teenage boys as perverts who are desperate to lose their virginities while female protagonist is an unpopular nerd bullied by the popular mean who have a crush with the Jock and the Jock likes nerd girl. Nerd girl will have the last laugh because she will get a makeover.

I will definetly prefer Anime over those live action tv shows mom and dads watch.
