There are days when I really wish that I had a male companion. Yes, I get lonely. :(

Today I auditioned to be on a TV show. I think it went okay, but I won't know for a few weeks.

The whole afternoon, we scrubbed and cleaned, moved things around, threw some out etc

And the result? Our house looks worse now with the new furniture. We've had to squeeze it in, and now the flat looks cold, soulless and awful. We both HATE it :(

Well, that sucks. Maybe over time you can add some little touches back in.

We manage fix roof and that is most important. Now I am on vacation and I will have more time for my stuff.

Today I slept in and had only one lesson. From then until now I've taken it easy.

Attended worship services. Then I sent a tweet to Donald Trump telling him that I hope he felt well and we should get back to the work of peacefully building this nation. Hey! I don't want him to become President. But I didn't want him to get shot either. That's not how civilized people settle their differences.

Today is like 10th day in row with heatwave. Temps are over 36C with feeling of 42C. Without air condition I am not sure how could I survive it.

I'm watching "Tower of Babel". It's not a biblical movie. It's a K-drama.

This afternoon, my roommate was going out with her boyfriend.

She was looking at the drink menu online and she needed help before leaving to go out.

I had to make sure that the drink was non-alcoholic.

I told her to get Arnold Palmers!

She didn't even realize it, but I make them for myself, only my version is diet.

I'm a little stressed out about some upcoming deadlines, so today I will try and balance work and at least some decent meal breaks.

Ate potatoes for lunch and it put me into a carb coma. Had to wait a couple of hours to regain my energy.

That's a shame, at least you have learned more about what you like and what you want in your future home. Hopefully it will grow on you and you will find it comfortable and homely.

Sorry you feel that way Spontaneo, maybe it doesn't help, but there are lots of people in bad relationships who would love to be in your shoes. Maybe you can find positives in your current situation.

But if their situation is bad, why are they in it? I have got to laugh. They say the way to a man's heart is thru his stomach. I cook for a girl roommate and myself. What am I doing wrong? Men are not standing in line!

I know, you're absolutely right LOL I swear, the place looked like a dull waiting room, so this week I got a few pretty cushions (to my husband's dismay!) and sure enough, it looks a little better. We also re-arranged the sofas and threw some decent throws on. The space is very cosy, so you also don't want to clutter it... but I want to get a couple of cactus plants as well. It's a work in progress but I think we're getting there :)

And good luck with the tv role... please keep us posted. Fingers crossed!!

I cannot wait until this upcoming Friday!

A local food pantry is going to be here!

I love to do pantry challenges with what i have and with what they bring!

I know that this may seem weird, but I hope that they bring lots of peanut butter and jelly. I love to prepare myself PB & J smoothes. I am going to be having more dental work next month. So many smoothies are going to be required.

Would I be selfish to ask for PB & J?
