Preparing for Technical certification examinations

Postby ptrikha21 » 30 Nov 2018, 15:48

Hi folks,
When you have to prepare for technical certification examinations, what approach do you follow? Do you focus more on studying books offline, Online study or a combination of both?
And have you recently given any examination?

Both is best option. Offline you will find one version and basic examples. Online you can find different versions, harder examples of tasks, different explanations of problems.

I try and get a list of questions and then I circle the correct answers only.

I then re-read the exam test reading ONLY the questions and the correct answers. (I read it over several times)

For story problems or problems needing calculation, I work the same problem over and over until I absolutely know the solution.

It's a test. Knowing why an answer is wrong only adds to confusion. There will be time for teaching and expression after you have passed your test and have been hired.

Though I have not taken any such exam, I feel a combination of both would be good. It also depends on how much time you have to do both.

Both. I read offline books but would also consult online tutorials or ebooks to have a wider knowledge in thd topic. Also, in online, you can search almost anything and there are also lots of examples compared to offline textbooks/books.

At the same time, expensive. And for other resources, you have to order it online because it is not available locally.
